01 About TRAXE

TRAXE (operated as TRAXE.co) is a content verification and registration platform that provides cryptographic timestamping, hash fingerprinting, AI content detection, and origin declaration services for digital content. TRAXE is designed to assist creators, studios, and organisations in documenting the declared origin and submission date of digital assets.

TRAXE operates in support of transparency obligations under the EU AI Act (2024/1689) and related regulatory frameworks. However, TRAXE itself is not a legal authority, certification body, notary, or regulatory agency.

02 Scope of Service

TRAXE provides the following services:

• Cryptographic SHA-256 fingerprinting of uploaded files
• Timestamping of submission date and time
• Recording of user-declared origin information (e.g. AI-generated, human-made, hybrid)
• Issuance of a unique TRAXE Verification ID (TRX-XXXXXXXX)
• A publicly accessible verification page linked to each submission
• AI content detection scanning via third-party image/video analysis APIs
• A browser extension for scanning images on third-party websites

TRAXE does not:

• Verify the accuracy or truthfulness of any information submitted by users
• Confirm copyright ownership or intellectual property rights
• Guarantee that submitted content is original, non-infringing, or lawfully owned
• Provide legal, regulatory, or compliance advice
• Act as a substitute for legal counsel or official certification
• Guarantee the accuracy of AI detection results — these are probabilistic estimates only

03 Accounts & Registration

To use TRAXE's paid features, content registration, or AI scanning beyond the free tier, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete registration information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying TRAXE immediately of any unauthorised use

Each account is for individual or single-organisation use only. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits is prohibited and may result in permanent termination of all associated accounts.

04 Subscription Plans & Billing

TRAXE offers both free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis via Stripe, our third-party payment processor.

• Starter (Free): 3 content registrations and 25 scans per month. No payment required.
• Creator (€9/mo): 30 registrations and 100 scans per month.
• Pro (€29/mo): 100 registrations and 500 scans per month.
• Studio (€79/mo): 300 registrations and unlimited scans per month.
• Agency (€199/mo): 1,000 registrations and unlimited scans per month.
• Enterprise: Custom pricing — contact sales.

Annual plans are billed once per year and include a discount equivalent to 2 months free. Prices are in EUR and exclude VAT where applicable.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time.

TRAXE reserves the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice to registered users.

05 Scan Credit Packs

In addition to subscription plans, TRAXE offers one-time scan credit packs that allow users to purchase additional AI detection scans without upgrading their subscription plan.

• Small Pack: 50 scan credits — €5.00 (one-time)
• Medium Pack: 150 scan credits — €12.00 (one-time)
• Large Pack: 500 scan credits — €35.00 (one-time)

Credit packs apply to AI detection scans only and do not add to content registration limits. Credits are tied to your TRAXE account and do not expire. Credits are non-transferable and non-refundable once purchased.

Subscription scan allowances are consumed first. Credit pack scans are only deducted once the monthly subscription allowance is exhausted.

06 AI Content Detection & Scanner

TRAXE provides AI content detection via its web platform and browser extension. Detection results are powered by third-party machine learning APIs and represent probabilistic estimates — not definitive conclusions.

• AI detection scores indicate the likelihood that content was AI-generated. A score of 1% does not guarantee the content is human-made; a score of 99% does not guarantee it is AI-generated.
• Results may vary depending on image quality, file format, content type, and the capabilities of the underlying detection model.
• TRAXE is not liable for decisions made based on AI detection results, including editorial, legal, or commercial decisions.
• The browser extension scans images by sending them to the TRAXE API. Images submitted for scanning are not permanently stored and are processed solely for the purpose of detection.

TRAXE does not guarantee availability of the scanning service at all times and is not liable for interruptions to third-party detection APIs.

07 Browser Extension

The TRAXE Scanner browser extension is provided free of charge for Chrome, Edge, and Brave browsers. By installing and using the extension, you agree to these Terms of Service.

• The extension requires a TRAXE account to function. Scans performed via the extension count toward your monthly scan allowance or credit balance.
• The extension accesses images on third-party websites solely for the purpose of AI detection scanning. It does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data from those websites.
• TRAXE is not responsible for compatibility issues with specific websites or browser versions.
• The extension is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

08 User Declaration & Accuracy of Submissions

By creating a TRAXE account and submitting content, you declare and confirm that:

• All information submitted — including declared origin, tool used, creator identity, and file metadata — is accurate, truthful, and complete to the best of your knowledge.
• You are the creator, rights holder, or authorised representative of the content you submit.
• You understand that submitting false, misleading, or inaccurate declarations may constitute fraud or misrepresentation under applicable law.
• You take full legal responsibility for the accuracy of all declarations made through your account.
• You will not submit content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights, contains illegal material, or is intended to deceive or mislead.

TRAXE reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be submitting false or fraudulent information.

09 Data Retention & Privacy

TRAXE processes and stores the following data in connection with your use of the platform:

• Account data: Email address, subscription plan, usage history — retained for the duration of your account and up to 2 years after deletion.
• Registered content: File hash (SHA-256 fingerprint), declared metadata, and stored file URL — retained indefinitely to support public Verification.
• Scan data: AI detection results and scan counts — retained for 12 months.
• Payment data: Processed and stored by Stripe. TRAXE does not store payment card details.

TRAXE does not sell your personal data to third parties. Data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For data deletion requests or privacy inquiries, contact legal@traxe.co.

10 Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the content you submit. By submitting content, you grant TRAXE a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, hash, and display the submitted metadata and file fingerprint solely for the purpose of providing the verification service.

TRAXE does not claim ownership of any content submitted to the platform. The TRAXE name, logo, platform design, and software are the intellectual property of TRAXE/Youruncommonbrand and may not be reproduced without written permission.

11 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• TRAXE, its operators, directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.
• TRAXE is not liable for any legal claims, disputes, or proceedings initiated by third parties against you in connection with content you have submitted.
• TRAXE is not responsible for the misuse of Verification Records by you or any third party.
• TRAXE does not warrant that its services are error-free, uninterrupted, or legally sufficient for any particular regulatory purpose.
• TRAXE's total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 3 months preceding the claim.

12 EU AI Act Compliance Context

TRAXE is designed to assist organisations in meeting transparency and disclosure obligations under the EU AI Act (Regulation 2024/1689), which requires providers and deployers of certain AI systems to disclose AI-generated content to end users from August 2026.

TRAXE's Verification Records are not official regulatory filings and do not constitute compliance certification. Users are responsible for ensuring their own legal compliance with applicable AI regulations in their jurisdiction. TRAXE recommends consulting qualified legal counsel for compliance advice.

13 Refund Policy

Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If you cancel a subscription, you retain access until the end of the current billing period.

Scan credit packs are non-refundable once purchased. If you believe a payment was processed in error, contact legal@traxe.co within 14 days of the charge.

TRAXE complies with the EU Consumer Rights Directive where applicable. EU-based consumers purchasing for personal use may have a 14-day right of withdrawal on digital services before the service has begun. By initiating use of a paid plan or credit pack immediately after purchase, you acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is waived.

14 Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of TRAXE shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

15 Changes to These Terms

TRAXE reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of the platform following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
