The extension is not yet on the Chrome Web Store — follow these steps to install it manually. It takes about 2 minutes.

Download and unzip the extension
Click the Download button above. Once downloaded, right-click the ZIP file and select Extract All (Windows) or double-click (Mac). You should get a folder called traxe-extension.

Open Chrome Extensions
In Chrome, type this in the address bar and press Enter:

Enable Developer Mode
In the top right corner of the Extensions page, toggle on Developer mode.

Load the extension
Click Load unpacked (top left), then select the traxe-extension folder you unzipped in step 1.

Pin it to your toolbar
Click the puzzle piece icon (🧩) in Chrome's toolbar, find TRAXE Scanner and click the pin icon. It will now appear in your toolbar.

Start scanning
Right-click any image on any website and select Scan with TRAXE. The extension will open and show you the AI detection result instantly.

Is the extension free? ▼
Yes, the extension is completely free to download and use. It uses your TRAXE account scan credits — free accounts get 25 scans per month.
Why isn't it on the Chrome Web Store? ▼
We're currently in beta. The Chrome Web Store submission is coming soon — for now, manual installation takes just 2 minutes and works perfectly.
Does it work on all websites? ▼
It works on most websites. Right-click any image and select Scan with TRAXE. Some websites block right-click menus — for those, you can copy the image URL and paste it in the TRAXE AI Detector instead.
Do I need a TRAXE account? ▼
Yes — the extension connects to your TRAXE account to track scan usage. Creating an account is free at traxe.co.
Is my data private? ▼
Images are sent to our scanning API for analysis and are not stored or shared. We only store the scan result and usage count linked to your account.
