Is the extension free? ▼
Yes — the right-click scan is completely free, with no account and no subscription required. To prevent abuse, it's limited to 10 scans per hour from the same network. Registering content for a permanent, tamper-evident Verification Record is a separate feature on traxe.co with its own plan limits.
Does it work on all websites? ▼
It works on most websites. Right-click any image and select Scan with TRAXE. Some websites block right-click menus — for those, you can copy the image URL and paste it in the TRAXE AI Detector instead.
Do I need a TRAXE account? ▼
No — the right-click scan works instantly with no sign-in. A free TRAXE account is only needed if you want to register content for a permanent Verification Record, run deeper or batch scans, or use TRAXE Monitor.
Is my data private? ▼
The extension only sends the single image URL you right-click to TRAXE's scanning API, and only when you choose to scan it. Images aren't stored or shared, and since no account is needed for this feature, nothing is linked to your identity.
